July 14, 2014, Clearwater, FL:  For the first time in its 22-year history, the Annual Gentlemen’s Club EXPO (produced by ED Publications) will feature staff-specific Training Seminars designed to offer tips and advice exclusively for various aspects of a club’s staff. On Monday, August 18th and Tuesday, August 19th, there will be a total of four seminars occurring simultaneously in each of three staff-specific “rooms”: The “Management Room,” the “Security/Wait Staff Room” and the “DJ/Promo Staff Room” (two each day).  On Tuesday the 19th, the EXPO’s Keynote Address by Tim Kirkland of Renegade Hospitality will reflect the convention’s theme, “Formula Win: Turn Your Staff Into a Winning Crew,” an address designed for all EXPO guests.

In the “Support Staff Room,” each seminar will be hosted by experts in a very specific area of either club security, club hospitality or bartending/waitressing. The first of these seminars, “Diffuse It” (8/18, Noon-1 pm), will address the issue of violence—especially gun-related issues—that have occurred both inside and outside of adult nightclubs. Robert Smith of Nightclub Security Consultants, a former San Diego police officer, will offer valuable tips on how to prevent a violent incident before it starts, and what to do if someone attempts to use a weapon inside or outside the club.

In the “Meet & Greet” training seminar (8/18, 1-2 pm), the club’s front door will be approached from two perspectives. First, Club Consultant Pro 2.0’s David Boehm will explain why the club’s front door staff plays a key role in a guest’s first impression of the club, and what clubs can do to make sure a customer’s experience begins on the right note. Joining Boehm will be Robert Smith, who will explain the role that a club’s security staff plays not only in a guest’s first impression of the club, but in the way the club is perceived in the community at large.

The remaining two “Support Staff” training seminars, both scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th, deal more specifically with bartenders, waitresses and VIP hostesses. The “Perfect Cocktail” training seminar (8/19, 10-11 am) will feature RescueMyBar.com’s Ryan Dahlstrom, who will tell club operators and bar managers about the areas that might be hampering their bar’s profits, and how they can stay on top of today’s newest liquor trends.

Rounding out the “Support Staff” training seminars is “Upsell Everything!” (8/19, 11 am-noon), which will feature Set Marketing Group’s Brian Speed, a nightclub, bar and adult club expert. Speed, also the Founder and CEO of Nightlife Empire, will offer specific tips on how your bartenders and wait staff can seamlessly integrate upselling tactics into their bar service and increase bar profits.
