15awardEntertainer award nominees, venue and show host announced for 15th Annual ED’s Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show

Awards Show will be held on August 28, 2012, during the 20th Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO in Las Vegas

For 15 years, ED (Exotic Dancer) Publications has been honoring the multi-billion-dollar adult nightclub industry with its only national awards event: The Annual ED’s Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show. This year’s Awards Show is slated for August 28, 2012, at the Orleans Showroom inside the Orleans Casino, and is one of the highlight events of the 20th Annual “Reunion” EXPO (August 26-29, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas).

Four talented feature entertainers will by vying for the prestigious title of ED’s “Overall Feature Entertainer of the Year,” and each of the four will be offering command performances during the show.  The 2012 nominees for “Overall Feature Entertainer of the Year” are: Two-time nominee Gia Nova, first-time nominees Lisa Licious and RubberDoll, and four-time nominee Suzie Malone (note: previous Overall Entertainer of the Year winners are exempt from the category).

Featuring hot new comedian Pablo Francisco as host, the 2012 Awards Show will be packed with live rock ‘n’ roll music, special guest award presenters and an after-party with more than 30 porn stars and an open bar in a villa suite at The Palms Hotel & Casino overlooking Las Vegas.

Pablo Francisco is one of the most popular touring comedians worldwide.   Those who experience Pablo’s show for the first time find themselves captivated by his hilarious, dead-on impressions.  His ability to physically morph himself into movie stars, singers and a multitude of nationalities gives Pablo’s show a universal charm.  Pablo has appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and Comedy Central’s “The Show Biz Show w/ David Spade.”  He has also been a cast member on the Fox Network’s sketch comedy show “Mad TV,” TBS’ “Frank TV,” and has appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show.

Held each year during the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO—the only national business-to-business convention for the adult nightclub industry—the ED’s Awards Show honors the nation’s top adult nightclubs and feature entertainers.  Award nominees were chosen thanks in large part to “pre-nominations,” which were accepted at from May 15 through June 5.  The Final Ballot for the 2012 ED’s Awards will be live online only at from June 22 through July 20, 2012.

The following list comprises the feature entertainer award nominees for 2012 (club award nominees will follow in a subsequent press release):

The ED Award Show Host

Pablo-StreetPablo Francisco our host for the 2012 ED Awards Show!

Pablo is one of the most popular touring comedians worldwide.  The premiere of his highly anticipated new one hour comedy special “They Put It Out There” made its debut on Comedy Central in the fall of last year.  The new special was taped at the Margaret A. Webb Theater in Santa Ana, CA. and follows the enormous success of Pablo’s last stand-up special, “Ouch!” which continues to stay on the networks most requested list.  The DVD “They Put It Out There” made its nationwide release shortly after its TV air date.  Pablo once again hits his mark, weaving together his one of a kind arsenal of characters, spontaneous outbursts, spot on impressions and clever insights to create a stand-up show that more resembles an hour-long comedic jazz riff.  “They Put It Out There” is an entertaining and off-the-wall performance that delivers the laughs and points out the hilarious absurdities in an illogical, pop-culture obsessed world.

It’s time!

DJ-Workshop-artIt’s time to face the music!

One of the most hotly debated subjects in the adult nightclub industry is, who should be the person deciding what music makes your club’s playlist?  We’ve enlisted three of the industry’s top veteran DJs to answer this question once and for all!
While most of the “controversial” subject matter surrounding the adult nightclub industry typically revolves around legal or political matters, there is one subject in particular that stirs more debate that virtually any subject introduced at an EXPO panel, workshop or seminar—and it has nothing to do with politics or the law.  That subject is music, and for the past 20 years, it has been one of the most heavily debated topics in the pages of the Club Bulletin, at the EXPO, and now on the Internet in such Facebook groups as SCI (Strip Club Industry).  At EXPO 2012, the “It’s time to face the music” DJ workshop will attempt to settle the debate by answering the question, “Who should be the person(s) deciding what music will be played in the club?”
